I'm Oleg Yershov, a photographer & designer based in Lowell, MA. I run Yershov Studio as a space to showcase my image-based storytelling, which includes independent, collaborative, and commissioned work.

My passion for photography started in the summer of 2025, when my family planned a trip to Cape Cod. I was inspired to document the trip, renting a point-and-shoot camera for the week. As fall came around, I took my first photography course at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Needless to say, I became sucked into the process of photography. As a graphic design major, I began incorporating photography in many of my assignments, which built both my skills and portfolio.

I have since experimented with many types of photography, from portraits to real estate and product work. Most of my work centers around experimental & editorial-style portraiture, emphasized by controlled lighting. I strive to create bold, high-impact work, using lighting, styling, and composition to create a striking visual narrative. I do indoor & outdoor photoshoots, focusing on creating images that feel personal and cinematic.
